The CLD Standards Council Scotland is the professional body for people who work or volunteer in Scotland in community learning and development, which includes practitioners in youth work, community development and adult learning.
We have almost 3000 members from across voluntary, local authority and other sectors. We are a member-led organisation and our work plans are defined by our member committees and based on feedback from our membership across Scotland.
Our core responsibilities are:

- Professional Development – we ensure CLD practitioners benefit from a range of high-quality professional learning opportunities
- Approvals – we quality assure qualifications, courses and learning and development opportunities for anyone working in CLD
