Historic Environment Scotland is the lead public body established to investigate, care for and promote Scotland’s historic environment. At Historic Environment we want to use the past to make a better future. We want to make a real difference to people’s lives: to our health, to our economy, to our culture, to our environment. We want heritage to involve everyone so that we all benefit. Our remit is broad, we would love to talk to you to better understand how together we can make that difference. This might be through our funding programmes, volunteering opportunities, learning and development, expert advice and guidance on managing historic buildings and sites, archiving and recording, discovering our properties in care or a shared approach to creating sustainable places.
