Magic Torch Comics CIC work with schools, community groups and organisations across Scotland, to tell stories, primarily using comics. We can help you tell your story too.

Our award-winning social business model delivers bespoke comics and storytelling projects, collaboratively scripted in creative workshops and then illustrated by professional artists.

Our main delivery includes:

  • delivery of creative workshops to schools, libraries and community organisations
  • production and design of bespoke information comics for third / public sector organisations
  • production of bespoke comics, graphic novels and storybooks for community projects, often focussing on local stories, communities and heritage
  • development and publication of our own educational resources / comics

The team have a strong community learning and development background and we have specialised in working with marginalised groups to create comics, storybooks, games, audio drama and digital stories including young people on the autistic spectrum, young carers, recently arrived refugee families and LGBTQ+ groups. These stories platform and foreground the voice of often overlooked communities, our job is to help those stories be told across a range of media and outputs.
