We are the Scottish Charity Regulator, the independent regulator and registrar of over 25,000 Scottish charities, including community groups, religious charities, schools, universities, grant-giving charities and major care providers.

We aim to regulate in a way that builds trust and confidence in Scottish charities, holds charities to account, and strengthens their ability to contribute positively to society. Through our regulatory and improvement work, we support charities to understand their responsibilities, promote good governance, and help ensure Scotland's charity sector remains trusted, accountable and effective.
