Sacro is a community justice charity working to deliver life-changing services that empower people, give hope, protection, and help to build safe communities. We work to support people in the justice system and people who have been harmed.

Our work includes prevention and early intervention, community interventions, public protection, support for victims and survivors, and reintegration after custody.

We have around c200 staff across Scotland delivering over 35 programmes, working with the majority of local authorities in the country and we are funded through commissioning, Scottish Government funding and other grants and trusts.

We support people in crisis and at all points of their journey through the justice system and in the community. Our work is underpinned by strong cross sector and community collaboration and our practices are relational in approach.

Sacro also lead the Upside national throughcare programme, which is a partnership of eight third-sector organisations working across Scotland to support people leaving prison after a short-term sentence or period of remand to support recovery, rehabilitation and safe reintegration into communities.
