Self-Harm Network Scotland provides free compassionate support, resources, and information for people who self-harm. We also provide support and information to friends, families, and professionals. Our 1:1 support service provides flexible, person-centred, recovery-focused support provided by one of our Peer Practitioners.

Our website can be accessed by anyone in Scotland, enabling people to support themselves and others. There are sections for people who self-harm, for people supporting someone who self-harms, as well as professionals who work with someone who self-harms.

Our Live Chat provides immediate support for people who self-harm and is available on our website from 6pm - 10pm, 7 days a week. Our team of Peer Practitioners and volunteers support people on the Live Chat, with the aim of reducing any emotional distress they are experiencing and responding to their self-harm support needs.

We are part of Penumbra Mental Health, a pioneering charity providing dedicated services for people with mental ill health. We support people on their journey to better mental health, by working with each individual to find their own way forward.

We are funded by the Scottish Government, and work with partner agencies who share our goal of minimising distress and reducing self-harm.
