Craighalbert is a therapy centre and one of Scotland’s Grant Aided Special Schools, funded directly by the Scottish Government to provide specialist, high-quality integrated therapy and education for children and young people with cerebral palsy and similar neurological conditions.
We are an 'all through school' offering nursery and school placements for children and young people from 2-19 years with complex communication, learning, health, and care, while our early intervention programmes support children 0-5 years who are at significant risk of developing or diagnosed with a neurological condition.
Our experienced multi-disciplinary team including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, teachers, and therapy practitioners work collaboratively to create a nurturing environment where barriers to learning and development are minimised.
Programmes are designed to address the needs of children at every stage, focusing on what each child can do and enhancing their abilities, rather than their limitations.
By integrating therapy, care, and learning, we enable children and young people to maximise their abilities, achieve their full potential and develop their maximum level of independence.
