YMCA Scotland is the national voice of 28 local YMCAs working across Scotland. Our mission is to empower young people and communities to build a just, sustainable, equitable and inclusive Scotland, where every person can thrive in body, mind and spirit. 80% of our YMCAs work in communities with the highest levels of social, economic, health and education needs. Working in the heart of our communities, YMCA supports children, young people and their families to achieve their fullest potential. This work includes: digital maker spaces; e-sports gaming; employability; youth work; afterschool care; mental health programmes; mentoring; sports and wellbeing; housing and outdoor play. In addition to YMCA Scotland’s 28 Local YMCAs, we also host a branch of the YMCA Airplay scheme at RAF Lossiemouth, supporting children and young people whose parents or carers work at RAF Lossiemouth. Our National programmes include: Y’s Girls Mentoring, Plusone Mentoring, Positive Masculinity and Circuit. Circuit is an innovative national digital youth work partnership designed and led by young people with care experience.
