Introduction

This award recognises an employee who has made a significant difference to one or more organisations or causes. We are happy to receive applications covering a breadth of work over a number of years, but we want to understand why you are nominating this person now - what has made this year special?

The award is for people working in any role within the voluntary sector, from the most outgoing youth worker to the most unassuming finance officer. Let’s celebrate the expertise, energy and commitment that our colleagues show up with day in and day out.

Judging criteria

Our judges will be looking for the story of why your nominated person is so important for your organisation and wider community. What have they done that made you put them forward for the award, and why was the past year so special.

In your answers and supporting evidence you should try to include:

  • An outline of your employee’s involvement with your organisation
  • The story of what made this year special
  • Facts and figures that highlight how their work has made a positive difference
  • Real-life examples of the impact they have had on colleagues, volunteers and the wider community, which may include case studies and/or testimonials
