Why you should vote for Shaper/Caper for the People’s Choice Award
We impact social change through dance. We share the physical, social, and emotional benefits of dance with all. We’re keeping children active and creative through our online dance adventures. Our show, The In/Out Crowd, is a safe space for LGBTQ+ people in an increasingly isolated world. We support and equip older people with digital skills so they still enjoy the physical and social benefits of Dance for Parkinson’s classes in a Covid world. Mass movement to online in response to the pandemic has offered a wealth of accessible opportunities to disabled and chronically ill people. We’ll continue providing these opportunities.
We are a unique team of playful, kind, supportive and curious people with a ‘can-do’ attitude. Our Mission is “Dance for All”, an invitation to share our journey with everyone who wishes to come along with us. Regardless of the challenges that we may encounter, we always have creative discussions to find joint solutions. It is in this nurturing process that we learn from open and creative exchanges with others. All our work crosscuts three working pillars: Health & Wellbeing, Social Justice, and Creativity, with digital communications and creative tools as an emerging force across all our activities.
