Even though Gail doesn’t like being singled out, she deserves recognition for her incredible achievements. In just one year, Gail transformed our charity, safeguarding jobs, stabilising our finances and improving and diversifying our service for children, young people with additional support needs and their families.

Despite having a busy job, Gail prioritises spending time with service-users and when you ask them to describe Gail they say “fun”, “helpful” “calm” and “kind”. Gail has brought a no-nonsense, practical and caring style of leadership to the charity, which has transformed the organisation and the impact we have for our service-users.

Gail joined us in January 2021 at a time where the charity had been struggling. Gail used an inclusive approach to quickly review the organisation and rapidly implement changes. Thanks to Gail’s unwavering commitment to deliver rapid transformation, we are now a happy, healthy and sustainable organisation with ambition for growth.

Gail’s own experience makes her passionate to improve the lives of disabled children and young-people and she used this passion to transform our charity. What Gail has achieved in such a short period of time, particularly with the additional challenge during Covid, is nothing short of remarkable.
