Carol Topper - Playlist for Life

Why you should vote for Carol Topper - Playlist for Life for the People’s Choice Award

Carol embodies the ethos of our charity: she is a wonderful example of a person who lives well with dementia and her role as a media volunteer helps her to share her infectious energy with the wider public. She wants to share her experiences with as many people living with dementia as possible, and show that living well with dementia is possible, and that personal music can help. Carol has done so much for Playlist for Life, helping countless families affected by dementia. She is the perfect example of a volunteer who goes above and beyond for the cause.

Carol lives with dementia and first discovered Playlist for Life in 2017 at her local Help Point, St Andrew’s Church in Carluke. Carol is supported by her husband, Malcolm. Since then Carol has been a media volunteer for Playlist for Life, helping the charity to spread the word about the power of personalised playlists for people living with dementia. Carol has taken part in multiple filmed case studies, appeared in local press, been interviewed for STV News, spoken to members of the public about our work and even promoted the charity The One Show, sharing our message with millions.
