Our mission is to create a Scotland where all women+ are supported to reach their potential. Ruth is a fundamental part of that mission - and her incredible journey from participant to volunteer proves that when women support women, incredible things can happen! She has become an integral part of the Kairos community and volunteer three times a week (or more!) Our favourite Ruth moment was at the recent Kiltwalk when she walked 3-miles on crutches to raise funds for Kairos Women+, raising her crutches in the air as she crossed the finish line - she is some woman!
Kairos Women+ is a community-led women's organisation based in Paisley, Renfrewshire. We believe in the power of collaborative decision-making and bring women and non-binary people together to make change in their community! Ruth Hart has been a volunteer since January 2020. She was influential throughout lockdown, working hard to keep women+ connected through making cookery and gardening videos, supporting our women's history project and creating artwork for display in our new space. Ruth is a leader in our group spaces, delivering activities and supporting the creation of a weekly Johnstone group. She is a determined and inspirational woman!
