Carmel Teusner - Disability Snowsport UK

Why you should vote for Carmel Teusner - Disability Snowsport UK for the People’s Choice Award

A vote for Carmel recognises the critical role a great trustee can play in helping organisations be their best and deal with challenging times. In the five years she has served on the board, Carmel’s hard work means that DSUK has survived the impact of the pandemic so that we are still there to make snowsport accessible for everyone regardless of disability, injury or experience. These activities are a gateway to greater confidence, fitness, friendship and fun for disabled children and adults; and make a real difference to people’s ongoing health and wellbeing.

Carmel Teusner, DSUK’s Vice-Chair has diligently undertaken all the hard work on governance, policy and people needed to steer us out of the pandemic and look to the future. She is an unsung hero. Rarely do we celebrate those who ensure that policy and process is up to date, fit for purpose, and a living part of our organisations. The best practice that Carmel has implemented informs all our work. She has been there every time we have needed her whether that is offering advice, volunteering or participating in fundraising activity. She exemplifies everything a good trustee should be.
