- Overview
Sustainability and sisterhood: Women’s Fund for Scotland conference is a one-day event designed to encourage and equip women-led organisations with the tools, skills, and networks they need to thrive.
Hosted by the Women’s Fund for Scotland, the conference aims to foster collaboration, build capacity, and strengthen sustainability for the diverse groups it supports. Through engaging sessions, tailored workshops, and meaningful networking opportunities, this event offers a unique platform for attendees to learn, connect, and grow.
- Overall aim
The conference has three key objectives:
- Capacity building: Equip attendees with essential skills and knowledge in areas such as fundraising, strategic business planning, governance, GDPR compliance, and marketing
- Networking: Provide opportunities for participants to connect, share knowledge, and build lasting collaborations, fostering peer-to-peer support and collective growth
- Sustainability: Empower organisations with tools and strategies to enhance their long-term viability, ensuring their continued ability to serve communities effectively
This event is guided by insights from an annual survey conducted since 2020, which highlights a strong demand for capacity-building support, grassroots-focused training, and opportunities for in-person networking.
- Who is the event aimed at?
This conference is for women-led grassroots organisations, mainly current and former grant partners of the Women’s Fund for Scotland. If there are spaces left then we will invite other not-for-profit groups that deliver work benefiting women and girls aged 12+ in Scotland. It is ideal for:
- Leaders and managers seeking practical tools to enhance their organisations
- Fundraisers, marketers, and project planners looking to deepen their expertise
- Volunteers and community members eager to learn and connect with like-minded individuals
Attendees will leave equipped with fresh ideas, strengthened connections, and renewed energy to continue their vital work.
- Other Information
Due to the limited spaces at this free event, we ask that no more than one person attends from each organisation. Priority for attendance will be given to past and present grant partners of the Women’s Fund for Scotland, ensuring a space dedicated to grassroots groups working to benefit women and girls aged 12+ across Scotland.
Please note that all bookings are subject to approval by the Women’s Fund for Scotland. You will receive an initial “Thank you for your interest” email, then once approved, you will receive a subsequent email confirming your place and asking for your workshop preferences and further details. Please do not make any travel plans until your place is confirmed.
