- Course overview
Despite what people in communications say, ‘communications’ is really not that complicated.
What is complicated is knowing how to engage with supporters, stakeholders, funders and friends to keep the show on the road, so it has never been more important to keep communicating (talking and listening).
Our Comms and marketing made easy course with Lawrence Broadie from Electrify has been adapted for the times we live in and although it will be delivered digitally, you can be sure it will still pop!
This session will focus on the thing we believe every voluntary sector organisation needs to do: tell stories.
It will be full of interaction, engagement and discussion as we take you on a whistle-stop tour of what we reckon makes a great story, especially during a crisis. We’ll even show you some of the work we’ve been engaged in recently.
- Overall course aim
Everyone working in the voluntary sector must play a positive part in the promotion of your charity’s mission and work - it’s crucial.
You have amazing stories, which can influence funders, stakeholders, civic and elected leaders, your supporters, and the wider public. So, we’re going to ban jargon, cut out codswallop and create a bunkum-free zone by guiding you through a cracking morning of comms advice and storytelling support.
And, remember to bring whatever the big thing that's happening in your organisation right now. Know it, and be ready to share it!
