Compact Baseline Survey 2009/10
This research occurred during a period of change for the Compact and explicitly references the original 1998 Compact and Codes of Practice, rather than the Refreshed 2009 version. The research was conducted with public bodies and government departments operating in England, with fieldwork occurring between September 2009 and December 2009. The research aims to: 1. Enable an assessment of the awareness and degree of implementation of Compact principles within target organisations 2. Generate a perception of Compact working practices in government departments and NDPBs in England 3. Explore the perception of the level of embeddedness of the Compact both within their own roles and within their teams 4. Identify obstacles to good working practices 5. Enable the Commission for the Compact to identify and promote success and address gaps in performance.
