General Practitioners at the Deep End
GPs at the Deep End works in 100 general practices serving the most socio-economically deprived populations in Scotland. The group has produced over 20 reports around health and general practice issues, including the impact of welfare reform, poverty and health inequalities. The activities of the group are supported by: the Royal College of General Practitioners (Scotland) the Scottish Government Health Department General Practice and Primary Care at the University of Glasgow. At a local level there is substantial overlap between the Deep End Project and the Greater Glasgow and Clyde Primary Care Deprivation Group and the Lothian Deprivation Interest Group.
