Scottish LMI Sector Profiles - Third Sector Cluster Report 2011

Third sector labour market profile report by the Alliance of Sector Skills Councils. This report provides data for employers within the Third Sector ?Cluster?, that is to say those covered by one of the following SSCs: Asset Skills, Creative & Cultural Skills, Energy & Utility Skills, Go Skills, Lifelong Learning UK, People 1st, Skills for Care and Development, Skills for Health, Skills for Justice, SkillsActive, and Skillsmart Retail. KEY FINDINGS Compared with the averages for all workplaces in Scotland, the Third Sector ?Cluster? is characterised by: ? A lower proportion of very small workplaces with 1-4 employees (49%); ? A higher proportion of female employees (61%); ? A higher proportion of part-time employees (37%); ? A similar proportion of employees with a disability (13%); ? A higher proportion of associate professional and technical staff (17%).
