Transforming communities: local partnerships making a difference
This short publication by NACVS looks at case studies of best practice between local government and the voluntary and community sector in deprived areas. It examines in particular the key role of Local Infrastructure Organisations (LIOs) in sustaining and supporting the sector. Although the report covers only England, the case studies will be of interest to those working in the voluntary and community sector throughout the UK. The case studies cover a wide range of partnerships including those supporting young people's services, families, travellers, rural and urban communities, and community transport.
