Edinburgh Garden Partners
In 2025, 55 volunteers were matched with older and disabled Garden Owners. Volunteers spent 4,264 hours turning neglected spaces into productive plots and forming lasting friendships. Garden partnerships helped Garden Owners feel connected and valued. For volunteers, access to growing space and intergenerational connections improved wellbeing. This year we launched our SOS network, partnered with major organisations and mentored garden-sharing projects across Scotland and beyond. We are celebrating 15 years of changing lives through garden sharing: in the words of a volunteer, "we’re constantly laughing together [...] we’ve seen each other through some tough times and it’s really a joy”.
