Aberdeen Tasking & Activation Partnership (ATAP)
Launched in July 2025, ATAP brings together housing associations, third sector organisations and the local authority to prevent homelessness through early intervention. Grounded in lived experience, cash-first support, relational leadership and innovative technology, it helps frontline workers act confidently on housing concerns. Despite challenges such as power dynamics and tight timescales, partners worked with honesty, adaptability and shared decision-making. ATAP has already helped 68 people avoid homelessness, while driving wider cultural and system change. It shows that homelessness prevention works best as a shared system responsibility, built on trust, lawful data sharing and a willingness to challenge assumptions.
