Rape and Sexual Abuse Service Highland (RASASH)

Why you should vote for Rape and Sexual Abuse Service Highland (RASASH) for the People’s Choice Award

RASASH is the only dedicated specialist service in Highland supporting survivors of sexual violence aged 13 and over, of all genders, as well as their non-abusing loved ones. We offer free, confidential and tailored support both in person and remotely, and work to create lasting change through prevention education, training, and awareness-raising across the region.

This year marked a significant milestone for RASASH: 10 years of supporting survivors of sexual violence across the Highlands. As the region’s only dedicated service, we supported over 440 people, delivered 1,000+ hours of criminal justice advocacy, and reached 2,500 young people through education and prevention work. Referrals rose by 40%, and 100% of survivors said they felt respected, listened to, safe, and understood. Every connection, conversation, and act of support fuels real change. We remain deeply committed to breaking down barriers to support in rural communities and building a future free from sexual violence through compassion, advocacy, and education.
