Pregnancy Counselling & Care (Scotland) and Gyle Shopping Centre

Why you should vote for Pregnancy Counselling & Care (Scotland) and Gyle Shopping Centre for the People’s Choice Award

At Pregnancy Counselling & Care Scotland, we stand beside families and individuals across Edinburgh & the Lothians through some of life’s most vulnerable moments—pregnancy, early parenthood, and heartbreaking loss. Our Baby Bank brings dignity and hope, offering essential clothing, toys, and baby equipment to those in need, helping parents feel less alone. Through our free Counselling Service, we provide a safe, compassionate space for those facing emotional struggles—from the heartbreak of infertility or miscarriage to the overwhelming challenges of new parenthood.

After devastating floods forced the closure of our Granton-based Baby Bank in January 2024, we urgently needed a new home. Thanks to the incredible generosity of Gyle Shopping Centre, we were offered the perfect rent-free vacant unit, and open again by mid-February. Gyle embraced us as their Charity Partner and their staff volunteered over 100 hours. The boost to our visibility and accessibility has massively increased our donations and volunteer numbers. With a private counselling room and space to grow, our impact has soared - 792 Baby Packs delivered last year (217% increase). This partnership has truly transformed lives.
