Martin Flynn - EATS Rosyth
Why you should vote for Martin Flynn - EATS Rosyth for the People’s Choice Award
With our diverse and ambitious projects, we provide welcoming spaces in our cafe, orchard and garden, inspiring people to connect and grow, building a vibrant, resilient community. Through our connection to food and nature we actively improve health and social inclusion, which is vital for the wellbeing of everyone.
Martin volunteers in EATS Rosyth Community Garden 5/6 days a week, introducing new visitors to the garden, supporting new volunteers and helping them find activities they're capable of, and will enjoy.
Martin has been a key player in overseeing a supported class from Inverkeithing High School, understanding the students individual strengths and weaknesses, and ensuring they are engaged in suitable, enjoyable activities. Martin also volunteers at a local Alzheimer's dancing afternoon, and with Link Living Group, a social event for the elderly and those living on their own, assisting at the event and transporting attendees to and from sessions. Finally, Martin has completed dementia awareness training following the passing of his wife from the disease and continues to assist with the local Dementia group.
