If you are interested in starting a tenant and resident’s association in your local area you can apply for a grant to help meet running costs of the group.The grant can cover the cost of:- Publicising and holding meetings- Responding to requests for help, from tenants and the Council- Producing information for those they represent- Keeping up to date with developments in housing- Organising events and initiatives that benefit their community

To further its legacy, the Galloway Glens Scheme is managing a fund of small maintenance grants to ensure that Galloway Glens funded projects can continue to deliver great outcomes for the communities they serve. This legacy funding is intended to extend delivery of the outcomes of the projects originally funded, and this will be the main criteria for assessment.

The council holds charitable trusts for the relief of poverty, those in need, and the provision of recreational facilities and activities for disadvantaged groups. Provides funding to community and charitable projects in the community council areas of Aberfeldy, Dull & Weem, Dunkeld & Birnam, Kenmore & District and Mid Atholl, Strathtay & Grandtully. Grants are available to support projects which: - enhance the quality of life for local residents;- contribute to vibrant, healthy, successful and sustainable communities;- promote community spirit and encourage community activity.
