If you are interested in starting a tenant and resident’s association in your local area you can apply for a grant to help meet running costs of the group.The grant can cover the cost of:- Publicising and holding meetings- Responding to requests for help, from tenants and the Council- Producing information for those they represent- Keeping up to date with developments in housing- Organising events and initiatives that benefit their community

Grants are available to community groups or for projects which have future long term benefit for the community.Community group grants are available to any organisation which consists of a reasonable majority of Strathnairn residents, has open access to all of the target population for that group and has an identifiable relevance to the wider Strathnairn community.

Provides funding to community and charitable projects in the community council areas of Aberfeldy, Dull & Weem, Dunkeld & Birnam, Kenmore & District and Mid Atholl, Strathtay & Grandtully. Grants are available to support projects which: - enhance the quality of life for local residents;- contribute to vibrant, healthy, successful and sustainable communities;- promote community spirit and encourage community activity.

Ventient Nadara Glenkerie Wind Farm Community Fund supports community projects benefiting those living within 15km of the Glenkerie Wind Farm. Although priority is given to applications from communities within 10 km of the wind farm (which includes Tweedsmuir, Broughton, Drumelzier and Coulter) other communities within the 15k radius are eligible to apply including Stobo, Biggar, Symington, Roberton, Lamington, Wiston and Skirling. The overall aims of the fund are to support activity which will sustain and develop the life of the community and ensure that the area is an attractive and vibrant place to live, work and visit. To achieve this, the Fund will support activity that will lead to the following outcomes:- Adequate access to services for community members- Supporting sustainable communities- Opportunities to grow the local economy- Developed or maintained community assets- Promote community spirit and encourage community activityGrant requests to support a wide range of costs and activities will be considered, such as equipment costs, running costs for local groups, staff or sessional worker costs, consultations, and maintenance or refurbishment of community facilities.

SUEZ Communities Trust provides funds to undertake work that is eligible under the Scottish Landfill Communities Fund (SLCF). Applications are considered for the five main areas of work: - Land Reclamation (Object A): The reclamation, remediation, restoration or other operation on land to facilitate economic, social or environmental use- Community Recycling (Object B): Community based recycling, re-use and waste prevention projects- Public Amenities (Object C): To provide, maintain or improve an amenity that is used primarily for leisure and recreation. The amenity must be open to all sections of the community for at least 104 days a year- Biodiversity (Object D): The conservation of biodiversity through the provision, conservation, restoration or enhancement of a natural habitat or the maintenance or recovery of a species in its natural habitat- Historic Buildings, Structures or Sites (Object E): The maintenance, repair or restoration of a building, other structure or a site of archaeological interest which is a place of religious worship, or a site of historic or architectural or archaeological interest and is open to the public. Places of religious worship must Grade A listed.

The Vattenfall Clashindarroch Wind Farm Community Fund supports charitable projects benefiting those living in the areas served by the community councils of Huntly, Strathbogie and Tap o’Noth and the area served by Cabrach Community Association. It will support projects which will support positive change and strategic impact, in particular: - improve community services and facilities- increase participation in and access to contemporary culture, events and recreational activity- preserve and enhance the natural environment for residents and visitors- promote rural regeneration- celebrate the area's cultural, historic and archaeological heritage.They also offer two thematic schemes: Volunteer Development Bursaries; and School Transport Costs.
