The Fund aims to promote community spirit and bring people together; enhance quality of life and promote people’s well-being; and foster vibrant sustainable communities. It seeks to do this by awarding funding for projects or activities that contribute to the following priorities: - foster social networks & activities that support older people in the community - assist young people to maximise their potential and improve their life chances - promote better relationships between different generations - encourage healthy lifestyles and good mental health - support the development and use of new community assets, and maintain and enhance existing ones - address the effects of rural isolation, improving access to services and improving transport - support skills development and non-profit making initiatives that will nurture a thriving and diverse local economy - minimises environmental impacts and reduces ‘carbon footprint’ - strengthen the ability of local people and groups to continue to meet their own needs and make a difference within their communities.

Dumfries and Galloway Council can provide financial assistance to the third sector (voluntary and community organisations) who can apply to one or more of four Area Committees: Annandale and Eskdale; Nithsdale; Stewartry; Wigtown. The grant scheme is designed to mobilise change and deliver positive outcomes for Shetland and its communities. The scheme seeks to support the community and economic development of Shetland by investing in infrastructure, community capacity building, and developing community assets and encouraging inclusive growth.The scheme also aims to encourage regeneration of Shetland’s communities by supporting projects that safeguard sustainable economic growth and jobs, promote inclusion and contribute towards poverty reduction.Projects seeking funding must be a strong fit to Shetland's Partnership Plan 2018 – 2028, and the shared vision that "Shetland is a place where everyone is able to thrive; living well in strong, resilient communities; and where people and communities are able to help plan and deliver solutions to future challenges."

The Trust supports charitable institutions, societies and/or indigent persons connected with the town or burgh of Kinross and the parish of Orwell at the discretion of the trustees. Trust funds to be applied for charitable, beneficial or public purposes. In the past the trust has funded local youth, sport and school groups as well as churches, often for capital projects.

BCBN’s Grant Initiative aims to provide small third-sector grant awards to empower charities and local community projects. This initiative will distribute a one-off grant award of up to £3,000 per charity or to small but credible community projects, which are able to demonstrate their positive impact on the communities they aim to serve. Any projects supported must be UK based (excluding Northern Ireland); address a community issue or support a local community initiative; and provide benefits to the local community.

The Aberdeenshire Community Resilience Fund is for community or resilience groups seeking funding to support community resilience.Funding can be used for anything that supports individual or community resilience in an emergency. They welcome innovative and novel approaches to improving resilience. This might be for new groups that might need equipment or resources to start up their resilience activities; or existing groups with ongoing costs or needing to replace out of date equipment for example: Generator costs, First Aid kits, Training, Work to enable power resilience, Torches, batteries, blankets, etc.

The Aberdeenshire Community Transport Imitative (ACTI) provides funding for community transport providers in Aberdeenshire. Projects and services which may be funded must not be intended to make a profit, such as:- volunteer car schemes, either using the volunteer’s car or a vehicle managed by the organisation, e.g. hired from a car club. - Dial-a-bus services, e.g. minibus shopping bus or transport for individual needs. - Registered local bus services operated under a Section 22 permit.Grant applications are invited from community transport providers for the financial years:- 2027 to 2028- 2028 to 2029- 2029 to 2030
