Offering funding to families and individuals to support projects and initiatives that create positive change within their communities.The Make it Happen Fund makes a difference by enabling families to set the fund’s priorities and design the funding proposal process. It empowers parents, carers, children and young people to decide how funds are spent, directing investment towards projects that otherwise may be overlooked by traditional funding schemes.The fund itself will be available to applications that fit either of the following criteria:- Grants for individuals to enable families to access the items, experiences or services that matter to them.- Community grants for projects led by parents and/or young people working in collaboration with other organisations, including corporate partners, to create and deliver initiatives that positively impact their communities.There are several subdivisions of funding based on local areas:- Lochee- Strathmartine- North East- East End- Clackmannanshire

Mushroom Trust

The Trust’s charitable purposes are the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science, the provision of recreational facilities, the advancement of citizenship and community development and the advancement of environmental protection or improvement. The trustees main focus is on protecting and enhancing green spaces in and around Edinburgh, Scotland and beyond. In particular they wish to support projects that enhance the public's enjoyment and appreciation of green spaces including the horticultural and aesthetic enhancement of green spaces.The trustees are keen to support organisations that might have difficulties in obtaining public funding from other sources.

The Youth Scotland Rural Action Fund is a Micro Grant fund being supported by The Gannochy Trust. This fund has been created in response to the challenges which rural youth groups are facing in funding the delivery of community based universal youth work. It will make small awards to enable youth groups operating in rural communities to provide more and/or better youth work opportunities for young people.

Asda Foundation recognises the importance of having safe and accessible outdoor spaces in communities across the UK, so this year they will be providing up to £500,000 of grant funding to help grassroots groups improve or transform their local outdoor community spaces.The following list provides some examples of the kinds of items and services that tis funding could be used for. Please note that this list is not exhaustive, but any items and activities that we fund must still fit within the general criteria as detailed on ‘Who Can Apply’.- Materials to build and transform outdoor areas, such as planters, raised beds, benches, paint- Equipment to be able to deliver a community clear up, such as litter pickers, bin bags, hi-vis vests (items relating to community clear ups are capped at £500 in total)- Machinery hire/purchase, e.g. rotavator hire- Permanent fixtures and features, such as sheds, outdoor furniture, pathways, gates and fencing- Gardening tools and equipment, such as spades, wheelbarrows, polytunnels, water butts, compost bins- Plants, shrubs, trees, bulbs etc.

Funds are available for capital projects which improve quality of life and economic prosperity of communities within 10km of participating renewable energy developments at Whitelee, Pates Hill, Stallashaw and Blacklaw.Capital projects are usually long-term projects to acquire, develop, improve and/or maintain a capital asset such as land, buildings or roads or one off activities. Projects should be place and community based and require evidence of community support and consultation and involvement within the application. Westray Community Business Loan Scheme utilises the income generated from the 900kW community wind turbine to support sustainable economic development in Westray in order to benefit the social, cultural, and economic life of the Westray community.Applications are welcome if they meet the following criteria:- Owned and operated in Westray.- Maintains and/or creates new employment in Westray.- Supports the viability of other locally owned and operated businesses.- Brings clear and identifiable benefits to the community of Westray.- Provides a local service/benefit service but is at risk of closure.- New business setting up in Westray and meets a community need or brings local benefits.- Is resident or will be resident in Westray before loan is finalised.

The Royal Bank Regenerate Fund will support up to 50 local projects with the aim to make a difference to local communities and the environment across Scotland. To be eligible, your project will need to meet certain criteria and align to one of the following four categories:1. Energy Efficiency & Buildings e.g. enhancing the energy efficiency of your clubhouse through insulation, LED lighting or renewable energy generation etc.2. Environment, Nature & Biodiversity e.g. a rewilding project to boost and protect the biodiversity of your local area.3. Food, Water and Waste e.g. a communal allotment or pantry project that helps fight food waste in your community.4. Transport/Mobility e.g. the installation of bike racks or EV chargers at your clubhouse to help encourage low-carbon transport.

The Cycling Tourism Facilities Fund is an opportunity for tourism businesses, communities, and social enterprises in the Highlands and Islands Enterprise region to develop and enhance the cycling tourism facilities in your area.The funding can be used towards capital projects investing in fixtures, fittings, construction, adaptation or upgrades to improve cycling tourism facilities. Examples of eligible projects include: - new secure covered cycle storage - new open cycle parking, sheltered cycle parking - enhancement to existing cycle parking/storage to increase capacity and/or security - lockers and storage- drying facilities- bike maintenance equipment e.g. repair stations.
