An Suidhe Wind Farm Community Fund benefits those living in the areas covered by the Community Councils of Glenorchy and Innishail (Eredine only), Inveraray, Furnace, and by Dalavich Improvement Group. The fund will provide grants to support charitable activities that:- Enhance the quality of life for local residents- Contribute to vibrant, healthy, successful, and sustainable communities- Promote community spirit and encourage community activity.Grant requests to support a wide range of costs and activities will be considered, such as equipment costs, running costs for local groups, staff or sessional worker costs, consultations, and maintenance or refurbishment of community facilities.

The trust supports a wide range of charitable activities in and around the City of Perth which the Trustees feel are beneficial to the City of Perth. The Scottish Building Society Foundation will aim to invest in the long-term future of communities in Scotland. They are looking to provide financial support to charities and community groups. Funds are available for capital projects which improve quality of life and economic prosperity of communities within 10km of a participating renewable energy development (42 participating windfarms - see website for details).Capital projects are usually long-term projects to acquire, develop, improve and/or maintain a capital asset such as land, buildings or roads or one off activities. Projects should be place and community based and require evidence of community support and consultation and involvement within the application. Your project must meet at least one of the following Themes:- Theme One: Stronger Communities- Theme Two: Prosperous Communities- Theme Three: Healthy and Active Communities- Theme Four: Sustainable Environmental Communities

Westray Community Business Loan Scheme utilises the income generated from the 900kW community wind turbine to support sustainable economic development in Westray in order to benefit the social, cultural, and economic life of the Westray community.Applications are welcome if they meet the following criteria:- Owned and operated in Westray.- Maintains and/or creates new employment in Westray.- Supports the viability of other locally owned and operated businesses.- Brings clear and identifiable benefits to the community of Westray.- Provides a local service/benefit service but is at risk of closure.- New business setting up in Westray and meets a community need or brings local benefits.- Is resident or will be resident in Westray before loan is finalised.
