The Fund supports community activity and development by supporting the charitable activities of constituted, not-for-profit groups working to benefit the community. It is open to groups operating in the Halkirk District Community Council area with priority given to projects within a four kilometre radius of the Achlachan Wind Farm. Applications must meet at least one of the following outcomes:- Developing services and facilities- Sustaining and creating employment- Increasing skills and knowledge- Preserving and enhancing or giving better access to culture, heritage and the environment- Getting around and getting connected

Projects requiring funding from the Local Community Planning Budget should meet some of the priorities of your local area’s community plan Local Community Plans.The types of projects that can be supported are: - Take a pride in your community- Improvements to community facilities- Community Events; Employability Initiatives- Vulnerable or disadvantaged groups in a community- Links to Fairer Fife Commission Initiatives

The Enchanted Forest Community Trust, which is the organiser of the annual Enchanted Forest and light show in Pitlochry, supports a wide range of community projects in Highland Perthshire.This year the are actively seeking applicants who can use the funds to:1 .Help the people in need with the cost of living crisis in the Highland Perthshire area.2. Help with battling child poverty and focus on child welfare.3. Increase inclusion, enablement, independence, mental health and wellbeing.4. Increase access to employment, volunteering, learning, culture, sport, and leisure opportunities.5. Improve infrastructure that benefits the community.6. Promote sustainability through best practices.

This small trust supports conservation and community projects throughout Arran including wildlife, paths and trails, marine, conservation, and sustainability. The applicants must demonstrate a clear and positive contribution to the environment, and projects should be accessible to members of the public, and benefit the local community.

Grants will support any aspect of sustainable development within communities in the Marr area. If they are related to larger schemes the grant can be used for project start-up costs or to help groups develop a project idea. The grant scheme also provides support, advice and help with the development of project aims and/or management. They have funded a wide range of projects including: transport initiatives, information directories, local communications networks, environmental improvement schemes, cultural and historical projects, and projects related to tourism.

SSE operates a wind farm at Spurness on the Orkney Isles. The SSE Spurness Community Investment Fund contributes to the communities located around the wind farm. The community fund can support projects which:- develop skills and abilities to implement projects that are important to the island’s future- support the acquisition, development and use of community assets- increase the involvement with local organisations and community activity- overcome the barriers that can prevent disadvantaged or excluded members of the community from enjoying a high quality of life, particularly young people and the elderly- involve them in caring for the environment and ensuring it is protected for future generations- strengthens the local economy through community-led entrepreneurial activity

The objectives of The Edgar E Lawley Foundation are for general charitable purposes within the categories of Hospices, Children & Young People, Elderly, Community, Disabled and Medical Research/Other.Its area of benefit is to any charity or not for profit organisation within the United Kingdom. The Foundation’s preference is to award unrestricted grants to smaller charities and not for profit organisations.

The purpose of the Trust is to hold and distribute funds for charitable purposes as set out in the Trusts governing. The Renewable Energy Fund is a fund set up and administered by East Ayrshire Council to distribute developer contributions from Wind Farm developments within East Ayrshire.There are currently four operational wind farms making a contribution to the Renewable Energy Fund:- Afton wind farm- Galawhistle wind farm- Hare Hill wind farm extensions- Whitelee wind farmThe grants are intended to offer support to provide or maintain cultural, social, welfare, recreational or sporting facilities or to promote these activities. The grants are also provided to assist community-based projects that are in the interests of the community or the environment.

The priorities for the Dumfries and Galloway CLLD grant funding for 2025-2026 are:- Supporting community facilities and eligible organisations to contribute to the achievement of net zero.- Sustaining, improving and adding initiatives in rural communities that are most isolated, most disconnected, most in need of investment or most likely to experience inequalities.- Helping communities to address the cost-of-living crisis and eradicate poverty for individuals and families.- Enabling communities to carry out research, community needs assessments and feasibility studies as part of local place plan development.Organisations can make one application per project and there is no limit to the number of applications they can make. Applications can be made for 100% of the eligible project costs.Projects must take place between 01 August 2025 and 31 March 2026.
