Meet the team

Ian Horsburgh

Hello, I'm Ian. I've worked in IT for over 21 years, and in the voluntary sector for 18 years. I lead the IT team here at SCVO, and together as a team, our ambition is to provide you with the latest technology, backed by knowledgeable, friendly, and personable support at a competitive price. We want to make IT accessible for the voluntary sector and for you to be confident that your IT systems can support you to run your organisation and serve your communities.

I'm motivated by the difference we can make by introducing new technologies and incorporating the right values into our service. I'm proud of the long-standing relationships that we've developed with our clients and the continual improvements that we make as solutions evolve.

Outside of work, I love spending precious time with my family, attempting DIY, and watching sporting events.

Naeem Muhammad

Hello, I'm Naeem. I've worked in IT for over 21 years, and in the voluntary sector for 17 years. I lead a large number of client development projects and onboarding. I am responsible for managing the on-premise and cloud networks, services and applications for SCVO and our clients. I am a highly motivated and dedicated member of the SCVO IT Team. I always show high integrity in my tasks and always go the extra mile to support my clients and team.

My outside work interests are playing cricket and badminton on a regular basis. In my free time, I watch movies or sports (cricket) and keep up with current sport updates. I also spend my free time doing DIY at home.

Robbie Wood

Hello, I'm Robbie. I've worked in IT for 9 years, and in the voluntary sector for 9 years. I am responsible for escalated helpdesk support, as well as heavy involvement in projects and managing the on-premise and cloud networks, services and applications for SCVO and our clients. I am passionate about helping people get the best out of technology and deploying new systems.

Outside of work, I like to watch Formula one on Sundays and play video games in my free time with friends.

Darren Ford

Hello, I'm Darren. I've worked in IT for 3 years, and in the voluntary sector for 9 years. I specialise in remote helpdesk support, proactive maintenance and endpoint deployments. I am super passionate when it comes to providing high levels of customer service and satisfaction to clients, always striving to be better, continually learning and improving as I go along.

Outside of work you’ll find me in front of the screens again, playing video games, live content creation and video editing. I like to go out into the sun too though!

What our customers say

SCVO's SharePoint implementation has been of great benefit to Social Work Scotland

It has allowed our team to work in a more efficient way as we have team members based across Scotland. Being able to access files remotely enables team members to view the latest files and keep up with recent developments within the organisation.

Mark Cooper, Communications and Engagement Officer, Social Work Scotland

We decided to change our IT support provider to SCVO based on recommendations from other charities

New high quality hardware was provided as part of the package. We have been really impressed with the quality of the IT equipment provided, the systems advice and support, and the helpdesk response. The team is really helpful and approachable, and the overall IT support package offers excellent value for money which feels essential to the voluntary sector.

Rebecca Bradely, Communications Officer, SFAD
