An IT service for the voluntary sector that you can trust
SCVO's Managed IT Service supports charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises with all your IT needs. In-house IT support can be expensive and it can feel impossible to keep up with the pace of digital and technological change. We get it! We're here to help. We know it's essential that your IT is taken care of so that you can focus your time and energy on running your organisation.
SCVO has been running the Managed IT Service for over 20 years, providing expert IT support to the voluntary sector at a price you can afford. We offer our services at prices that are deliberately lower than the private sector because we understand the financial challenges that our sector is facing.
With excellent IT support from our Managed IT Service that takes care of all your IT needs, you'll save time and money by equipping your teams with good technology that helps them do their jobs more efficiently.
We’re experienced in supporting voluntary organisations with a range of IT services. We'll work with you to understand your needs and suggest tailored, affordable ways that our friendly, highly-skilled team of IT professionals can support you and your team.
Whether you're starting from scratch with your IT infrastructure or you're an organisation with a growing number of IT needs (or you're somewhere in between), we can provide you with the guidance and support that you need and an expert service that you can count on.
By investing in expert IT support, you're helping your teams to work safely, collaboratively and efficiently saving you valuable time and money and giving you peace of mind.
We're here whenever you need us. We offer a responsive IT support helpdesk for your whole team with IT experts on hand by email or at the end of the phone to help you with any questions or problems
We can monitor your networks and devices. We're here to check that they're performing well, spotting problems early and keeping an eye on unusual activity so that you don't need to worry. We're here to look out for you and keeping you up and running
We'll support you to keep your devices and data safe with virus protection support and resources to help your organisation improve cyber resilience
We help with sourcing and installing the right hardware (e.g. computers, tablets, routers), software (e.g. applications to access internet or create documents and programmes that help run a computer such as Windows), telecoms and licensing for your software to make sure you're complying with legal requirements. We can help you access competitive pricing and voluntary sector discounts
We'll support you to migrate your work to safe online storage (often called cloud services) such as Microsoft 365. Cloud services offer high levels of security and encryption as well as improved reliability and continuity, giving your teams secure access from anywhere and making remote work and collaboration easier
We'll keep you and your team up to date with the IT and digital news you need to keep your organisation running smoothly and and to help you and your organisation along on your digital journey
We normally support organisations with between 5 and 80 people or devices. If you would like IT support for more than 80 people, we're happy to refer you to our partner Phoenix Software.
We don't offer support with building websites or with customer relationship management (CRM) systems through our IT Service, but SCVO can signpost you and offer you lots of guidance on the key steps you need to think about when it comes to both website builds and choosing and maintaining a CRM. And, for SCVO members, our partner ProAptivity offers exclusive discounts on its CRM service.
If you'd like to talk about your organisation's specific needs, we'd love to hear from you. Every IT Service subscription is unique, and we tailor it to you so use our short form to give us a few details and we'll be in touch really soon.

Mark Cooper, Communications and Engagement Officer, Social Work ScotlandSCVO's SharePoint implementation has been of great benefit to Social Work Scotland
It has allowed our team to work in a more efficient way as we have team members based across Scotland. Being able to access files remotely enables team members to view the latest files and keep up with recent developments within the organisation.
Rebecca Bradely, Communications Officer, SFADWe decided to change our IT support provider to SCVO based on recommendations from other charities
New high quality hardware was provided as part of the package. We have been really impressed with the quality of the IT equipment provided, the systems advice and support, and the helpdesk response. The team is really helpful and approachable, and the overall IT support package offers excellent value for money which feels essential to the voluntary sector.
