Hosted by Ross McCulloch (Third Sector Lab ) and Alison Stone (Cyber Resilience Co-ordinator, SCVO) with guest speaker Robbie Ross (Chief Security Officer, Converged Communication Solutions).

How do you eat a cyber security elephant? One piece at a time!

This month’s DigiShift is a special edition for Cyber Security Week. Get insights into some of the small steps you can take to improve the cyber resilience of your organisation from leading IT experts, Converged Communication Solutions, along with the digital team at SCVO and Ross from Third Sector Lab.

*no elephants will be harmed during the running of this seminar

This event is open to anyone to attend but is particularly suitable for third sector organisations. This event will be hosted as a Zoom meeting and is free to attend.

About Alison

Alison’s current role is to provide cyber security education and raise awareness of cyber resilience to the vast network of charities and voluntary organisations across Scotland, working closely with Scottish Government and the Cyber Scotland Partnership. She has extensive experience in business continuity management and GDPR compliance across the private sector, especially in industry. Her background is analysis of business risks, including cyber-related risks; producing business continuity strategies and embedding these within organisations’ culture. Outside of work Alison is a keen cook, passionate about food and has a Masters degree in the Science of Gastronomy.

About Ross

Ross is a Director at Third Sector Lab Ltd. He has worked with a wide range of charity and public sector clients on digital strategy, including Relationships Scotland, SCVO, Oxfam, Enable Scotland and Scottish Government. Ross facilitates SCVO's Digital Senior Leaders programme and is a trustee of Parenting Across Scotland. Recently Ross has worked with Nominet to help them deliver their Reboot Platform to tackle digital exclusion and The Catalyst to bring service design principles to a range of charities.

About Robbie

Robbie is the Chief Security Officer at Converged Communication Solutions. He joined in July 2020 after spending 22 years working in Police Scotland, initially with Grampian Police and most recently in the Police Scotland CyberCrime Prevention Unit. He is passionate about speaking to public and private sector businesses, charities and the public about keeping safe online and talking about it in a simple and easy-to-understand way.
