Overview

Is your organisations Never More Needed? Well, maybe it’s time to start thinking about merging with another charity.

Description

Is your organisational structure really the best way to help your community recover from Covid 19? You may think your charity is unique but others have found that the move through partnership to merger makes sense for everyone involved. SCVO campaigns manager Susan Smith will talk to Pauline Gordon, from Social Enterprise Network Scotland, which merged with Social Firms Scotland in 2020, and Lorraine McGrath from the homeless charity the Simon Community Scotland, which recently merged with Streetworks. They will discuss the challenges and opportunities merger has brought for them and give some tips on when and how to start having conversations with potential partners.

This is part of a series of #NeverMoreNeeded webinars, exploring the opportunities and challenges facing Scotland’s voluntary sector as a result of Covid 19.

Who is this event aimed at?

This event is aimed at charity managers and trustees who are interested in exploring ways to adapt their charity to changing needs created by Covid 19
