Yogi and Cindy Bears provide 24hr medical support with Animal Intervention and Water Safety Drowning Prevention.

At Yogi and Cindy Bears we promote ‘The Provisions and Training of Assistance / Therapy Dogs’. within the medical field. We provide an alternative type of therapy to medications which comes under the realm of Animal Assisted Intervention.

Our Community Dog programme Animal Assisted Intervention (AAI) technique is the term given to interventions where a specially trained dogs and professional handlers work together in conjunction with a human services professional (eg therapist, social care practitioner, teacher or healthcare provider), to promote improvements in the physical, social, emotional and/or cognitive functioning of a person. These interventions are designed to meet particular goals to support that individual’s needs.

Our support is varied and can include:

Supporting Suicide Prevention Scotland Crisis care and support to individuals aiding with an individual’s action plan.

Assisting individuals that suffer from social interaction.

Assisting individuals with physical mobility, eg fine and gross motor skills.

Psychosocial support to individual to facilitate access to medical treatment.
