- Overview
Have you heard of 'pawternity', or 'me-ternity'? There are so many different types of employee leave it can be difficult to figure out which is which sometimes. This webinar session, facilitated by SCVO's HR service, will provide an overview of all types of leave your staff may request. We'll talk about annual leave and parental leave, as well as more progressive options we're hearing about, like 'pawternity' for looking after new pets or 'me-ternity' for child free women to travel or write.
You'll learn more about annual leave entitlements, which can be challenging to get right and we'll talk about when leave requests get complicated. What happens when someone's on holiday and they get sick? What if they're off sick and you see them post their holiday pictures online? Join us for all the answers!
- Overall aim
By the end of the webinar you will:
- Be confident to make decisions about complex leave requests
- Have the tools to implement leave policies with your staff
- Understand how leave policies are changing to be more inclusive
- Understand more about how to calculate annual leave entitlement
- Description
This webinar will be mainly instructive with some discussion around a case study. There will be time to cover questions and we'll follow up with presentation slides and any additional materials mentioned in the session.
We always welcome cameras on, however we want you to feel comfortable so please feel free to keep yours off if you prefer. You can ask questions in the chat or unmute. There may be a breakout room session to discuss the case studies as well. Overall, it'll be a relaxed session with lots to cover.
- Who is the event aimed at?
This webinar is for any employers in Scotland's voluntary sector, particularly small organisations with no particular person looking after HR and employee leave, including line managers, senior managers and trustees.
