Overview

The ‘Statement of Recommended Practice: Accounting and Reporting by Charities’ (‘the SORP’) provides recommendations and requirements for preparing charity accounts in accordance with UK accounting standards. It has been updated following an extensive development process informed by the views of engagement partners and a sector specific SORP Committee. 

In this webinar, delegates will learn about the changes which are being proposed to the SORP and have the opportunity to feedback. Comments on the changes will be used to develop SCVO's response to the consultation on the new SORP, which is expected to be published in autumn 2025 and effective from January 2026.
