Overview

Join us online for a Meet the Funder session with Inspiring Scotland to learn about the funding programmes they manage on behalf of partners and how they support communities across Scotland.

Description

During this webinar, attendees will hear directly from Inspiring Scotland about two key funds they deliver on behalf of partners: the Neighbourhood Ecosystem Fund and the Changing Places Toilets Scotland Fund.

Inspiring Scotland will provide an overview of these programmes and how they support communities across Scotland. The session will explore how the Neighbourhood Ecosystem Fund helps communities take action to improve their local environment and respond to nature and climate challenges, and how the Changing Places Toilets Fund supports the development of fully accessible toilet facilities to improve inclusion and participation for people with complex disabilities.

Attendees will learn about the main funding opportunities available through these programmes, the types of organisations and projects that can be supported, and how funding can help deliver local activity and improve community infrastructure.

The session will also highlight what Inspiring Scotland and their partners are looking for in applications, along with practical tips to help organisations apply.

In addition, Kirsty Young, SCVO’s Funding Scotland Development Officer, will deliver a short input on Funding Scotland and the wider support SCVO provides around funding. Kirsty will also be attending the webinar and will be available for questions during or after the session.

The webinar will conclude with an opportunity to ask questions and network with other organisations.

Who is the event aimed at?

This session is aimed at community groups, charities, social enterprises, and public sector organisations interested in securing funding to support environmental projects, improve local spaces, or develop accessible community facilities. It will be particularly relevant for organisations looking to take forward place-based work, deliver climate and nature activity at a local level, or improve accessibility and inclusion through capital projects.
