The Office of the Secretary of State for Scotland, also known as the Scotland Office, supports the Secretary of State with representing Scottish interests within the UK Government, and advocating for UK Government policies in Scotland. Split between London and Edinburgh, the Scotland Office plays a key role in promoting partnership between the UK and Scottish Government, and relations between the UK and Scottish Parliaments.
- Description
SCVO’s Policy Network has the opportunity to join a roundtable discussion with Minister John Lamont MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Scotland, and the wider Scotland Office team, to find out more about what the Scotland Office does and how their work impacts the voluntary sector in Scotland.
The event will provide an update on the Levelling Up Agenda and the Scotland Office’s role in delivering Levelling Up across Scotland. Participants will be invited to share their work and priorities with the Minister and his team, and the Scotland Office will also share how the sector can work with them to influence government. A Q&A will follow.
