A Short Study of Resilience in Scottish Charities
The current economic climate has created many challenges for the charitable sector. Resilience, the ability to adapt in the face of change, is considered important in supporting the Scottish Government?s objective of creating a more successful country through sustainable economic growth and in achieving OSCR?s vision of a flourishing charity sector. With many charities facing a reduction in resources, OSCR commissioned this study to determine, from their profiling information, if there are factors in a charity?s profile and history which help some respond more effectively to the economic challenges and make them more resilient in the face of change. These factors not only apply to the current economic climate but can also apply to a broader view of resilience in the face of evolving challenges for the charity sector.
