False Economy is an on-line collaboration between activists, campaigners and trade unionists, concerned about the impact of the government?s spending cuts may have on local communities, families and jobs. This research is based on hundreds of Freedom of Information responses from local councils across England, and shows that one year on from the launch of the Big Society, many charities and voluntary groups face deep funding cuts.
