Governance of Emergency Response in Scotland, Resiliance Management, and Adaptation to Increasing Climate Variability
This paper presents selected findings from a 2008 pilot study investigating the role of the Scottish Third Sector in the provision of disaster or emergency response in Scotland. As a working paper, its aim is to set out the researcher's conceptual framework for further research. In the coming year, further working papers will be released that look in more detail at the empirical findings, with specific policy guidance for the Third Sector. In addition, a much wider empirical data collection will be taking place during 2009/2010, and emergent findings will be published as they become apparent.
