Managing charity finances through uncertain times
This survey was carried out by the accountancy firm Baker Tilly during September and October 2009. It sought to discover how charities, some 18 months into the recession, have coped with the short-term issues affecting the sector and what the medium and long-term effects are likely to be. It considered the views of finance directors and chief executives of charities of all sizes throughout the UK, carrying out a full range of activities (excluding schools with charitable status). Over 170 charities responded, 9% of which were based in Scotland.
