Survey of a representative sample of just over a 1,000 Scottish adults in early September 2022, on behalf of Veterans Housing Scotland.
Findings around charitable giving include:
- 78% had given to charity at least once in the last year.
- However, with increasing living costs, half of Scots expected that the total amount they would donate to charities in the next 12 months would be less than in the last year.
- 14% expected to stop making any donations, 11% expected to decrease a lot; 25% expected to decrease a little.
- Just 10% expected the amount they would give to increase.
