Public and Charity Prespectives: Summary of OSCR's 2010 Surveys
This report presents a summary of research conducted in early 2010. The overall aim was to gauge and track the opinion of charity trustees and the general public in order to identify priorities for development of OSCR?s processes and communication. For charity trustees the objectives were: ? to establish attitudes towards OSCR and charity regulation ? to explore the effectiveness of OSCR?s communication with trustees ? to identify issues of concern which OSCR may wish to address. For the general public the objectives were: ? to measure awareness of and attitudes towards the work of charities ? to identify any issues about charities? activities that are of concern ? to measure awareness of the regulation of Scottish charities and the main sources of information on regulation (specifically awareness of OSCR). Results are compared where relevant with a similar survey conducted in 2009. http://microsites.scvo.org.uk/EvidenceLibrary/Home/ReadResearchItem.aspx?f=h&rid=953
