Report #1 Lessons from lockdown. (November 2020)
This is the first of three reports from phase one of the MoVE (mobilising volunteers effectively) project, exploring key lessons from the national lockdown.
This report presents the first set of findings from 49 semi-structured interviews with a range of stakeholders from England, Scotland and Wales, about their responses to the COVID-19 pandemic. It presents findings on the lessons learned from the successes and challenges experienced by those involved in coordinating community-facing responses.
The MoVE project is a collaboration between the Universities of Sheffield, Hull and Leeds. Over the course of 18 months, the research examines how to understand, scale and maximise the effectiveness of volunteer responses to COVID-19.
