The voluntary sector and rising costs - a summary of current voluntary sector experiences
This paper highlights the impact of rising costs and inflation on third sector organisations operating in Scotland.
The findings suggest that third sector organisations continue to feel the impact of increased costs. Core operating costs have increased and organisations report a negative impact on their ability to deliver services. In addition, fundraising continues to be difficult, with over half of respondents to the Scottish third sector tracker applying for additional funding to combat rising costs.
For many organisations, the support available is not sufficient. Despite this, many organisations have reduced the cost of their services to support the communities they work with as the cost of living continues to have a detrimental impact on peoples' lives.
