Village Halls and Community Centres
The aim of this report is to look at what charities are doing to meet the new challenges that they face and to outline some of the options that are open to them. Although restricted to England & Wales - referencing English legislation or how the Charity Commission can support halls - the report has a substantial range of Case Studies, based on Charity Commission casework. The report is therefore useful for anyone involved in the governance and management of a village hall, community centre or other community-based charity that provides facilities for the community in which they are located, and for anyone with an interest in such charities. and can be read in conjunction with Scottish research, e.g. Community Facilities in Rural Scotland (2008)
