This Fund supports charitable activities or services of benefit to those living in the following Community Council areas in Caithness: Latheron, Lybster and Clyth; Watten; and Tannach and District. The outcomes for this Fund are:1. There are more and better opportunities to take part in sports and recreational pursuits2. Access to and through settlements is safer3. People of all ages enjoy more, better and varied activities and services4. Community life is enhanced and maintained through a wide range of activities, events and improved amenity of settlements5. Economic activity is encouraged within the Fund area6. People have more vocational skills and experience7. The natural and cultural heritage is more valued, experienced and understood by both visitors and residents8. Energy use in homes and community buildings is more sustainable9. Tourism opportunities are promoted and created in the Fund area.

SSE Renewables jointly own and operate the Stronelairg wind farm ia 66 turbine, 227.7MW project located on the Garrogie Estate, south east of Fort Augustus. The Stronelairg Wind Farm Community Fund supports the communities located around the wind farm.The Fund aims to promote community spirit and bring people together; enhance quality of life and promote people’s well-being; and foster vibrant sustainable communities. It seeks to do this by awarding funding for projects or activities that contribute to the following priorities:- Encourage community activity and promote community spirit- Ensure adequate access to services for all community members including those with disabilities- Improve local infrastructure and connectivity- Build the local economy including opportunities for apprenticeships and training- Build community capacity and cohesion between groups- Develop or maintain community assets.- Heritage, Culture and Arts- Health and Wellbeing including sports

ArtRoots offers grants up to £6,000 to enable communities to produce art projects along their local, traffic-free [National Cycle Network](https://www.walkwheelcycletrust.org.uk/national-cycle-network/) routes.Community-led art projects can enhance neighbourhoods and encourage more people to explore their local areas by walking, wheeling and cycling.ArtRoots inspires communities to shape their local environment by making traffic-free routes more attractive and accessible for everyone.The fund also supports projects led by organisations and individuals who can demonstrate strong community involvement, consultation and engagement.Previous ArtRoots-supported projects include:- Temporary installations- Performances and events- Sculptures- Heritage signs- Information boards- Murals.A successful ArtRoots project will:- Put the power of creative change into the hands of the community- Raise awareness of local traffic-free National Cycle Network routes for everyone to use- Demonstrate strong knowledge of the local area and what artistic contribution could make the best improvement to the environment- Make traffic-free National Cycle Network routes more enjoyable and attractive places to explore- Encourage and build confidence in local communities to use active travel (walking, wheeling and cycling) to visit or experience the project.

The Drone Hill & NnG East Berwickshire Fund supports community projects benefiting those living in the seven Community Councils areas of Reston & Auchencrow, Grantshouse, Coldingham, Cockburnspath & Cove, St Abbs, Eyemouth and Burnmouth.This Fund integrates community benefit funding provided by Greencoat UK Wind (the owners of the Drone Hill Wind Farm in East Berwickshire), and Neart Na Gaoithe (NnG, a joint venture between EDF Power Solutions and ESB, which owns the NnG Wind Farm located in the Firth of Forth estuary).The Fund will provide grants to support charitable activities that:- Enhance quality of life for local residents- Contribute to vibrant, healthy, successful and sustainable communities- Promote community spirit and encourage community activity.A wide range of costs and activities will be considered for funding e.g. equipment costs, running costs for local groups, staff or sessional worker costs, consultations, maintenance or refurbishment of community facilities.

The fund provides support for strategic projects in Perthshire with the following outcomes: - Creating opportunities: Create opportunities for education and employment through activities that develop skills and improve an individual’s chance of entering the workplace.- Empowering communities: Empower communities to become more resilient through measures which demonstrate long-term social, environmental or economic improvements. - Sustainable places: Stimulate meaningful regeneration to improve or enhance local infrastructure, landscape, biodiversity or heritage and make a lasting difference to the places we live, work and visit. In addition, all applications are expected to consider and demonstrate how their project supports the following overarching ambitions of the Fund Panel: - How the project will help the region in its journey towards a net zero future. For example, by improving energy efficiency, reducing waste, or delivering services in a way that reduces or removes the use of fossil fuels. - How the project will build the knowledge, skills and experience that the third sector needs to support a sustainable region. For example, by developing and enhancing social enterprises, improving the sustainability of community assets, or increasing collaboration between community projects and services.

Awards of up to £250 are available for charitable purposes which will benefit people living in the area served by Lochbroom Community Council.

The Fund is provided by E.ON, the developer of the Rosehall Wind Farm. It aims to invest in activities and initiatives that help build a vibrant local economy, support and encourage thriving communities and make the area an attractive place to live, work and visit for people of all ages.The outcomes for the fund are to: 1. Strengthen, sustain and diversify the local economy through the development of established or emerging sectors.2. Encourage entrepreneurship and innovation in the local community with a view to stimulating economic and social growth.3. Increase community benefit by acquiring, developing, and using new community assets and maintaining and enhancing existing ones.4. Support measures designed to improve life chances and/or quality of life.5. Optimise local resources and assets through support for coordinated community activity.6. Support environmental improvements which give a physical, social or educational benefit.7. Support energy conservation and increased use of renewables through the promotion of energy efficiency and sustainability within the area. 8. Respond to unforeseen circumstances or opportunities that are in keeping with the broad fund outcomes identified above.

Funding can be spent on capital investment only. Revenue or operating costs are not eligible, except for, directly related architect fees and professional costs (10% of the total eligible project costs considered maximum).Funds can be used for:- improving vacant premises to attract new tenants- conversion costs to enable new/expanded uses- installation of, or upgrades to, fixtures and fittings- energy efficiency improvements- accessibility improvements- external works and cosmetic improvementsThis fund is designed to help bring vacant high street and town centre premises across the Falkirk area back into use.It is recognised that high streets are changing and this fund is aimed at helping landlords and tenants adapt to changing consumer demands where a capital investment can open up new or more sustainable uses, in a currently vacant premise. The fund will help address the issue of vacant town centre unit space (priority will be given to ground floor units), stimulate new start-up activity and support business and Third Sector expansion. This will help improve amenities, increase footfall and contribute to re-shaping and creating vibrant town centre environments.Applicants must not have commenced any of the activities for which they are applying for funding. No supplier invoices should be received and no supplier payments made before the grant award date.

The Fund supports charitable activity that will sustain and develop the life of the community and ensure that the area is an attractive and vibrant place to live, work and visit.Applications should demonstrate how they fit with the objectives of Auchterless, Inverkeithny & Fisherford Community Action Plan 2015. While the Panel has the discretion to fund other activity, the funding priorities of the local community are as set out in this Community Action Plan. The Panel would prefer to see awards made for the purchase of capital items or towards the costs of capital projects, rather than for revenue items such as travel costs or the subsidising of activities.The Panel are keen to support applications that demonstrate how they meet the following additional criteria:- Additional funding- Local procurement- Sustainable development- Local consultation- Partnership working
