FJSS Group works to promote racial diversity and inclusion in the Scottish justice system, the public and private sectors, human rights, access to justice, and has established itself as a leading voice for justice sector reforms necessary to
create greater racial diversity and inclusion in the Scottish justice system.
FJSS Group advocates for diverse and inclusive employment and appointments in the justice sector to reflect the diversity of modern-day Scottish society. Our work is geared towards influencing the direction of justice delivery policy in Scotland through informing the processes of policy formulation and development.
To this end, our organisation engages with the key stakeholders that constitute the Scottish justice sector including the policy and decision-makers in the Scottish Government. We have established working relationships with justice sector institutions such as the Judicial Appointments Board, the Faculty of Advocates, the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service,
Police Scotland, the Scottish Parliament, the Law Society of Scotland, HM Inspectorates across all the disciplines (Prison Service Scotland, Constabulary and Crown Prosecution), Scottish Police Authority and Public Appointments. This connects our work with high-level policy and processes that shape the Scottish justice system including the Scottish Government’s race equality and safer community outcomes.
