Invisible Cities trains people who have experienced homelessness to become walking tour guides of their own cities. With tours in Edinburgh and Glasgow in Scotland, they were awarded Best Community Tour in the world by Lonely Planet in 2021.

Invisible Cities are running two guided tours at the Gathering: a "Women of Edinburgh" tour on Tuesday, and "City of Migration" tour on Wednesday.

On the "Women of Edinburgh" tour, join your guide Gayle for an introduction on some of the women that have marked the city. Fish wives, doctors or witches, you will learn about 3 historical women and their representation in the city (or lack of!). On the"City of Migration" tour, with your guide Jason you will learn about Edinburgh as a place that has been welcoming immigrants for centuries, through little Italy and other parts of the old town.
